Abstract: Samarium cobalt magnet is the second generation rare earth permanent magnet, mainly divided into 1:5 type ( SmCo5 ) and 2:17 ( Sm2Co17 ) two. Its main characteristic is the magnetic properties, temperature properties. The highest working temperature can reach 250-350 degrees celsius. Compared with the neodymium iron boron magnet, SmCo magnets is more suitable for working in high temperature environment. Application of product is suitable for manufacturing various high performance permanent magnet motor and working environment is very complex. In addition, SmCo magnet corrosion capability is extremely strong, its surface generally do not need plating processing.
